   Mothers bathe and eat only sattvic (pure vegetarian) meals.

2. Vrat Day (Day 2):

   • This is the toughest part. Women observe a nirjala fast (without food or water).

   • No combing hair, no cutting, and no household work.

   • The day is spent in prayer and devotion to Lord Jimutavahana.

   • In the evening, traditional customs include eating fish and ragi (marua) roti.

   • Women apply mehendi (henna) on their hands.

3. Paran (Day 3):
   The vrat is completed by breaking the fast with rituals and prayers.
